What is Disney Castaway Club?

One of my favorite things about Disney Cruise Line is that after your very first sailing, Disney basically says, welcome back, see you again soon. Because now you are in the Castaway Club.

Disney Castaway Club is Disney Cruise Line’s free loyalty program. The more Disney cruises you complete, the more perks you unlock along the way. You don’t have to sign up or fill out any forms. Once you complete your first sailing, Disney automatically enrolls you in Castaway Club. When you get home after your first cruise, you'll find your Castaway Club membership status ID number in your Disney Cruise Line account. Easy. Done.

So… what do you actually get?

The biggest benefit of Castaway Club is early access.

As your membership level grows, you get earlier booking windows for things like:

  • New cruise itineraries

  • Online check in

  • Specialty dining

  • Spa appointments

  • Port Adventures

You get first dibs at all those onboard bookings. It’s Disney’s way of saying “thanks for coming back, here’s a better chance at grabbing a private cabana.”

And on your next Disney cruise, you’ll get to use the exclusive Castaway Club check-in at the terminal (where available.) Then when you get to your stateroom, you can expect to find a gift waiting for you. Gifts do change, but you can expect things like backpacks, lanyards, or water bottles.

Disney Castaway Club Levels

There are four membership levels:

Silver → After 1 completed sailing
Gold → After 5 completed sailings
Platinum → After 10 completed sailings
Pearl → After 25 completed sailings

Status is based on number of cruises, not cruise length.

A 3-night cruise counts the same as a longer sailing.

Perks are for everyone in the stateroom

On your next cruise, whoever has the highest Castaway Club membership gets to use the perks for everyone in the stateroom. So if you’re sailing with a first timer, they get access to that same earlier booking and perks that you get.

My favorite Castaway Club perk

If I had to pick one, it’s the earlier check in windows. Getting an earlier Port Arrival Time can completely change embarkation day. More time onboard means more time to explore the ship, grab lunch, settle in, and start your vacation before crowds build. And if you’re cruising during a busy season or sailing on a new ship, those early booking windows become even more valuable.

Your Castaway Club benefits still apply when you book through Travel Grown.

So you still get your loyalty perks, plus planning support to help you figure out things like:

  • when your booking windows open

  • what’s actually worth reserving

  • what fills quickly

  • and what you can skip

Because Disney cruise planning is fun, until suddenly it’s time to set midnight alarms to reserve brunch. That’s when it gets real.

If you’re planning your first Disney cruise or trying to make the most of your Castaway status, we’d love to help.
