Walt Disney World Refurbishments: 2026–2027 Ride & Resort Closures

Part of stress-free planning is knowing what's closed before you go. Rides, pools, and restaurants all go down for refurbishment throughout the year, and there's nothing worse than showing up for your must-do attraction only to find it behind a wall. Below is the current list of Walt Disney World refurbishments and closures. We watch this for every client, so if something on your list is affected, we'll plan around it together.
Dates come straight from Disney and can change at any time.
Transportation
Disney Skyliner — Closed January 24–30, 2027. Complimentary bus service will be available for Disney's Art of Animation, Pop Century, Caribbean Beach, and Riviera Resorts, plus Disney's BoardWalk Inn and the Beach & Yacht Club Resorts.
Magic Kingdom
Walt Disney World Railroad – Frontierland Station — Closed July 7, 2025 to TBD. The train continues to run as a shuttle between the Main Street and Fantasyland stations only.
Pete's Silly Sideshow & Big Top Souvenirs — Closed January 4, 2026 to TBD. Minnie & Goofy and Daisy & Donald are meeting outside in Storybook Circus during this time.
Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress — Closed July 6, 2026 to TBD in 2027 for a new update.
EPCOT
Refreshment Port — Closed January 12 to June 30, 2026. Reopening July 1 as La Poutinerie.
La Signature (French fragrance shop) — Closed June 29, 2026 to TBD later in 2026. Guerlain merchandise will be available at Plume et Palette during this time.
Disney's Hollywood Studios
No refurbishments currently scheduled.
Disney's Animal Kingdom
No refurbishments currently scheduled.
Disney Springs, Water Parks & Golf
Disney Springs — No refurbishments currently scheduled.
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park — Open through summer 2026. Mayday Falls is closed until TBD.
Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park — Open through summer 2026.
Golf — Disney's Lake Buena Vista Golf Course is closed for renovations through October 2026. Disney's Magnolia and Palm courses remain open, and the Golf Shop is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Resort Hotels
These are temporary resort closures and rehabs: pools, shops, restaurants, guest rooms, and more. Always check this list again as your trip gets closer!
Disney's All-Star Movies Resort — Guest rooms under refurbishment from late May 2026 through the end of January 2027. The Donald's Double Feature shop is in a phased refurbishment through late August and remains open.
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge (Jambo House & Kidani Village) — Kidani Village guest rooms October 2025 through May 2026, followed by Jambo House May 2026 through January 2027. Most amenities remain available.
Disney's Art of Animation Resort — Standard rooms and family suites begin a phased refurbishment in summer 2027.
Disney's Beach Club Resort & Villas — Routine exterior maintenance through late 2027, which may impact some views. All services (valet, luggage, transportation) remain available.
Disney's BoardWalk Inn & Villas — Refurbishment in select areas through late 2026; most amenities remain available. From January 11 through April 2027, the Luna Park Pool, Crazy Play Area, and Leaping Horse Libations will be closed for routine maintenance (the Villas Pool and Inn Pool stay open).
Disney's Contemporary Resort & Bay Lake Tower — Refurbishment in select areas (Bay Lake Tower, the Main Tower, and the atrium) from September 2024 through late 2027. Main Tower exterior maintenance begins March 23, 2026.
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa & Villas — Renovations in select areas, including the covered entrance, through early 2027. Grand Floridian Cafe is closed July 20 to October 2026 for a refresh; brunch temporarily moves to Citricos.
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort & Villas — Refurbishment through 2026, including a reconfiguration of the front entrance roadway and bus area. Some theme park views may be impacted, so allow extra travel time. The boat dock is under maintenance through late June 2026. Trader Sam's Tiki Terrace is closed mid-April through late June. Wailulu Bar & Grill exterior roofing runs April 23 through late June; the bar stays open with walk-up service only until 5 p.m. (seating resumes 5 p.m. to close).
Disney's Port Orleans Resort – Riverside — Guest rooms in a phased refurbishment from early May 2025 through August 2027.
Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa — Phased refurbishment through late September 2026, including the Treehouse Villas. The Turf Club Bar & Grill and Lounge are under refurbishment through late September 2026: the Lounge is closed early May to late August 2026 (the Bar & Grill stays open with a pop-up bar), then the Bar & Grill is closed late August to late September 2026 (the Lounge stays open).
Disney's Wilderness Lodge & Villas/Cabins — Exterior refurbishment through late 2026; the security kiosk is expanded late March through mid-October. The boat dock is under maintenance April 13 to late July 2026, with boat transportation available via alternate paths. Most amenities remain available; some views may be impacted.
Disney's Yacht Club Resort — Routine exterior maintenance through late 2026; all services remain available. Yachtsman Steakhouse is closed and expected to reopen in August 2026.
