Universal Orlando Ticket Pickup and Tips for Managing Everything You’ll Need
One of the most important things to know before your Universal Orlando adventure is how tickets work and what to expect once you arrive. Universal uses physical paper tickets and cards, so you’ll want a good system for keeping everything organized and accessible throughout your trip.
If You’re Staying Off-Site
When you book your Universal Orlando vacation through Travel Grown, you’ll receive an email confirmation from your Travel Grown planner with details on how to pick up your tickets.
Universal uses Will Call Kiosks for off-site guests. You’ll find these kiosks at the entrance of Universal Studios Florida® and Universal’s Islands of Adventure®. They’re an easy and secure way to collect your tickets before your first park day. (At Universal Epic Universe, there is a ticket counter near the entrance.)
Here’s how it works:
Go to any Will Call Kiosk near the park entrance.
Swipe a credit card that matches the lead guest’s name listed on your reservation (this is only for verification).
Enter the reservation number provided on your E-Travel Document.
Print your tickets.
A quick note: your reservation number only includes the number 0 (zero) and never the letter O when entering it at the kiosk.
If you haven’t received your E-Travel Document yet, reach out to your Travel Grown planner so we can resend it to you.
If You’re Staying On-Site
After checking in at your Universal Orlando resort hotel, your next stop should be the Universal Orlando Vacation Planning Center, located in the resort lobby. This is where you’ll pick up your park tickets.
You’ll need to present two things:
Your E-Travel Document (sent by your Travel Grown planner after final payment).
A credit card with your name on it for verification purposes only.
If you purchased Florida Resident tickets, Military Promotional tickets, or Annual Passes, you’ll need to pick those up at any front gate ticket window at the entrances to Universal Studios Florida® or Universal’s Islands of Adventure®.
Be sure to bring your reservation number and valid photo ID (Florida photo ID for Florida Resident tickets and Military ID for Military Promotional products).
Keeping Everything Organized
Between your park tickets, room keys, Express Passes, and more, you’ll have quite a few cards to manage. Each person in your travel party will receive their own set, which can include:
Room key
Park tickets
Express Pass
My Universal Photos card
Dining cards (if part of your package)
That’s a lot of cards to keep track of, and the best solution is simple: get a lanyard with a plastic sleeve.
Lanyards are available in the hotel and park gift shops, and you can even find Hogwarts House-themed ones that double as a fun souvenir. They look a little like you’re wearing a house tie, and they make life easier while adding a touch of theme park magic.
There are plenty of other lanyard options available in the gift shops if Harry Potter isn’t your vibe.
You can also order lanyards online before your trip if you’d rather bring your own.
Keeping Everything Accessible During the Day
You’ll use these cards frequently, so keep them handy in your lanyard. Here’s what you’ll need them for:
Showing your room key or park ticket for early park entry.
Scanning your ticket to enter the parks.
Presenting your Park-to-Park ticket to board the Hogwarts Express or visit both parks in one day.
Scanning your Express Pass at eligible rides and attractions.
Scanning your My Universal Photos card at photo locations or as you exit certain rides.
Having everything easily accessible will save you time and make your park days much smoother.
Please Remember:
Picking up your Universal Orlando tickets and keeping them organized might seem like a small detail, but it makes a big difference in how smoothly your trip goes. Whether you’re staying on-site or off-site, following the steps above will make your first park morning stress-free and set the tone for an amazing vacation.
