NOTE: As part of the ongoing enhancements at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, phased updates to the lobby, convention center and select areas will begin April 14. Portions of the lobby will close at times, and Guests may encounter changes to their path of travel. While construction will be noticeable during daytime hours, efforts will be made to minimize disruptions—and all pools, dining and other amenities will remain available. As renovations continue at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, the gingerbread display will not be available during the holiday season in 2025.
The Vibe
Yes, it’s grand, and let’s just say… she’s fancy. But not in a way that makes you feel out of place. The Grand Floridian is all chandeliers and live piano music and fresh flowers in the lobby—but you’ll still see kids in Crocs holding Mickey balloons. It’s elegant without being stuffy.
If you’re someone who loves the feeling of a really good hotel (you know what I mean—fluffy robes, polished floors, good lighting), this is your spot. It’s giving classic Disney magic with a little sparkle. And somehow, even with all the grandeur, it still feels warm and welcoming—like the kind of place where you can dress up for dinner or show up for breakfast in your park gear and no one bats an eye.

Right along the waterfront, Narcoossee's does fresh seafood and prime steaks with beautiful views of Seven Seas Lagoon and the Magic Kingdom fireworks. Favorites include the blackened redfish and lobster bisque. The romantic setting makes it a popular date-night pick. Reservations recommended.

A lovely spot with garden views serving American favorites with a little polish. It is known for a hearty brunch and is a relaxed, family-friendly choice for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The crown jewel of Disney dining. Victoria & Albert's is a AAA Five Diamond award-winning restaurant with an extraordinary multi-course tasting menu, exquisite service, and an opulent setting. This is Disney fine dining at its very best. A dress code and age requirements apply, and advance reservations are required.

My tip: Use that time for the big-ticket rides like Space Mountain, TRON Lightcycle / Run, and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, when the lines are at their shortest.
Transportation & Park Access
One of the biggest perks of staying here is the location. You are just one monorail stop (or a scenic boat ride, or a short walk) from Magic Kingdom. That alone makes it worth it for families with little ones who need quick midday breaks or an easy trip back after fireworks.
