Disney’s Wilderness Lodge: Deluxe Comfort Meets National Park-Inspired Wonder
Tucked away in a quiet little corner of Walt Disney World, Wilderness Lodge feels like a deep breath. It’s the kind of place you come back to after a long park day, drop your bags, and exhale. Inspired by the grand national park lodges of the American Northwest, this resort wraps you up in warm wood tones, crackling fireplaces, and just the right amount of Disney magic.
If you’re dreaming of a trip that feels like an actual vacation—not just a sprint through the theme parks—Wilderness Lodge might be your best match.
Note: Beginning August 5, 2024, Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and Copper Creek Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge will undergo exterior refurbishment work. Additionally, from mid-May 2025 to September 2025, Copper Creek Villas & Cabins will undergo guest room refurbishments. While all resort amenities will remain available, Guests may see and hear construction work during daytime hours.
The Vibe: Cozy, Woodsy, and Wonderfully Low-Key
This is the resort equivalent of a flannel blanket and a good book. It feels warm and inviting, with a cozy atmosphere that’s both luxurious and laid-back. The second you walk into the lobby, it smells like cedar and calm. It’s rustic, but not rough. Think oversized rocking chairs by the fire, soft lantern light at night, and a bubbling spring that starts inside the lobby and flows outside into a waterfall.
It’s quiet here—in the best way. You’re still close to the magic (you can boat to Magic Kingdom!), but the pace slows way down.
Also, the theming is beautiful. Disney doesn’t miss with the details here, and everything from the totem poles to the hidden Mickeys in the woodwork just feels intentional.
