Disney Treasure: What to Expect on This Adventure-Filled Disney Cruise
If you’re thinking about a Disney cruise, the Disney Treasure is one of the newest ships in the fleet—and it’s got a lot going for it. This one leans into adventure and storytelling with a design that feels both thoughtful and immersive. It’s giving adventure, storytelling, and just the right dose of magic. Whether you’re booking a big family trip, a kid-free getaway, or something in between, here’s what to know.
This ship was made for families who love a mix of relaxation and excitement. Whether you’re traveling with tiny kids, teens, or just your partner in vacation crime, there’s a rhythm to the Treasure that makes it easy to slow down and soak it all in—or go big with theme-y fun. Think: character meet-and-greets, Broadway-style shows, adventurous dining, and grown-up hideaways when you need a minute. If you’ve cruised with Disney before, this ship still manages to feel like something entirely new.
The Ship at a Glance
The Grand Hall is themed to Aladdin, with golden hues, gorgeous stained glass-style windows, and details that make you want to stop and take it all in. It has this warm, adventurous energy that sets the tone for the whole cruise.
The design across the ship blends Disney charm with an explorer’s spirit. You’ll see nods to Jungle Cruise, Coco, The Lion King, and more—each tucked into restaurants, lounges, or little corners you stumble into when you’re just walking around. It’s storytelling layered into everything, but it never feels overwhelming. It just feels fun.
Rooms & Ship Layout: Cozy Meets Storybook
The staterooms on the Disney Treasure are just as family-friendly and beautiful as you’d hope. Smart layouts with split bathrooms, tons of storage, and beds that are actually comfortable. But what I love most? The themed artwork and subtle nods to Disney stories.
Depending on where you’re staying, your room might include touches from Aladdin, The Lion King, Pocahontas, Finding Nemo, or Luca. And just like on other Disney ships, the themes are there—but not loud. Think soft color palettes, framed artwork, and little hints that make the space feel special.
The ship has 15 decks, and once you get the hang of where your favorite coffee spot is (mine was quickly Jade Cricket Café), it’s surprisingly easy to get around. There are elevators in each section, lots of signage, and friendly cast members ready to help.
Want a specific room theme?
If your crew has a favorite Disney story (or a couple of them), you might want to request a stateroom that matches! The Disney Treasure features different themes across decks, so if you have a preference, let your travel planner know early—I’ll do my best to make it happen. Here’s a peek at which themes you’ll find where:
Decks 2, 6 & 7 – Aladdin and Pocahontas
Decks 8 & 9 – Encanto and Up
Decks 10 & 11 – Finding Nemo and Luca
Decks 12 & 13 (Concierge Rooms) – The Lion King
Deck 12 Royal Suites – Inspired by Rajah (from Aladdin) and Bagheera (from The Jungle Book)
Deck 14 (Tomorrow Tower Suite) – EPCOT-themed
Each room has thoughtful nods to its theme—like unique artwork, color schemes, and subtle touches that bring the story to life. Nothing too over-the-top, but just enough magic to feel extra special.
Dining: Rotational Style with Signature Disney Magic
Disney cruise dining is always good—but the Treasure might be my favorite yet. You’ll rotate through three main restaurants during your cruise, and your same serving team follows you each night. That means excellent service and a familiar face, even as the scenery changes.
Here’s what you can expect on the Treasure:
Plaza de Coco – A lively dinner show that takes you into Miguel’s world from Coco. The storytelling, music, and food are all incredible. We all loved it.
1923 – This is a returning favorite from the Wish and still just as lovely. Old-Hollywood vibes, California-inspired cuisine, and beautiful Disney animation sketches lining the walls. It’s cozy and elegant at the same time.
Worlds of Marvel: Quantum Encounter – This is a Marvel cinematic dining adventure. It’s high-tech, interactive, and a must for any superhero fan. You might even spot Ant-Man and the Wasp while you eat.
Outside the main dining, you’ll find a little bit of everything:
Marceline Market – This is your go-to for buffet-style meals (breakfast and lunch mostly). Fresh, fast, and great for families.
Jade Cricket Café – Inspired by Mulan, this adults-only coffee bar is beautiful and calm—perfect for a quiet morning latte or an afternoon cocktail.
Mickey & Friends Festival of Foods—Think tacos, burgers, BBQ, and soft-serve by the pool. The BEST pool deck food I have ever experienced.
Sarabi – Technically not a restaurant, but a central hub for snacks, drinks, and entertainment during the day.
Room service – Always included and always a favorite. Late-night fries and Mickey bars? Yes, please.
There are also two upscale, adults-only options onboard:
Palo Steakhouse and Enchanté —Perfect for a date night at sea. These require reservations and an additional fee, but they’re absolutely worth it.
Live Shows: Big Stage Energy
One of my favorite parts of sailing with Disney is the Broadway-style entertainment. The Treasure features a few returning favorites and something brand new:
Disney The Tale of Moana – For the first time ever, see the adventurous journey of Moana. This was INCREDIBLY WELL DONE.
Beauty and the Beast – This was such a stunning show. Honestly, even if you’ve seen the animated movie 100 times, this version brings something new to the table.
Disney Seas the Adventure – A high-energy opening night show that sets the tone for the whole trip. It’s like a “get you in the Disney spirit” kind of performance, and it works every time.
Plus, there are deck parties, movie nights (including early screenings of Disney films!), character meet-and-greets, and so much more happening all over the ship.
Entertainment & Lounges: From Thrills to Chill
Let’s talk about AquaMouse: Curse of the Golden Egg. It’s part water slide, part ride, and a lot of fun. This version features new animation and storyline—still silly, still splashy, still worth it.
If you’re looking for a quiet moment, Quiet Cove is the adults-only pool deck, and it’s a favorite for a reason. There’s a small infinity pool, loungers, a bar, and a tucked-away calmness that feels like a hidden gem.
And the lounges on this ship? Incredible. A few highlights:
Skipper Society – Inspired by the Jungle Cruise, this lounge is hilarious and full of hidden jokes and theming. Try the Jungle Bird cocktail!
Periscope Pub – 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea fans, this one’s for you. It’s moody, cozy, and just cool. Think submarine windows and deep-sea vibes.
Haunted Mansion Parlor – Maybe my favorite spot on the ship. The drinks are creative, the cast members stay in spooky character, and the design feels like you stepped into the ride. It’s perfectly eerie and a total experience.
Kid & Teen Spaces: So Well Thought-Out
Disney just gets it when it comes to kid and teen spaces.
it’s a small world nursery! – A safe, gentle space for the tiniest cruisers (ages 6 months to 3 years). You’ll need a reservation, and there’s a small fee, but it’s worth it for a little grown-up time.
Oceaneer Club (ages 3–10) – This space is incredible. Think themed play areas, creative activities, and visits from favorite characters. On this ship, there’s also a Star Wars area and Marvel Superhero Academy.
Edge (ages 11–14) and Vibe (ages 14–17) – Cool hangout spots with games, music, and just enough independence.
The Hideaway – Designed for ages 18–20, this gives that in-between crew a space of their own.
Basically, your kids won’t be bored—and you’ll get to enjoy your vacation knowing they’re in good hands.
Health & Wellness at Sea
There’s something about working out with a view of the ocean that just hits different. The Disney Treasure has:
A full fitness center with great equipment and classes.
The Senses Spa, which is calming and luxurious (yes, I booked a massage and yes, it was dreamy).
A walking track if you just want to get some steps in while watching the waves.
Final Thoughts
The Disney Treasure feels like an adventure waiting to happen. It’s full of heart, rich storytelling, and those little Disney touches that make everything easier and more magical. Whether you’re booking your first cruise or your tenth, this ship brings something new and exciting to the table.
