If you're arriving this summer, your check-in day just got a whole lot cooler: water park admission is included with your stay.
Please don't overlook the water parks! Between the perks, the theming, and the sheer fun of it, Disney's two water parks, Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach, are such a great add to any trip. Whether you're visiting in the thick of summer heat or a cooler stretch, there's something magical about splashing a little extra fun into your vacation.

The Water Park Perk for Resort Guests
If you're staying at a Disney hotel with a check-in date between May 26 and September 8, 2026, you'll get complimentary water park admission on your arrival day. It's such a fun way to kick off a vacation. Here's how to make the most of it:
How to enter: Use your MagicBand, MagicBand+, Disney MagicMobile pass, or Key to the World Card. It covers your choice of Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach.
Start right away: Even if your hotel room isn't ready yet, you can head straight to the water park and dive into the fun.
Where to stash your stuff: Check your luggage with Bell Services at your resort, and use the lockers at the water park for smaller items.
One thing to remember: this perk is for your check-in day only. It can't be moved to another day of your trip, so plan to use it the day you arrive.
Disney confirmed the water park perk would return in 2027, but we don’t have official dates yet.
Winter Weather and Heated Pools
Wondering if it's ever too cold for a water park day? Florida's mild climate usually keeps things doable, and Disney heats the water park pools, so you can have a comfortable swim no matter the season. Just peek at the forecast before you go, since the parks can close temporarily during storms or cold snaps.
Know Before You Go
Park schedules: Both Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach are open through September 8, 2026. After that, Typhoon Lagoon closes for its seasonal refurbishment starting September 9, and Blizzard Beach stays open. Water parks rotate closures like this throughout the year, so always check the calendar for your travel dates.
Packing tips: Bring swimwear, water shoes, sunscreen, and a small day bag. Complimentary life jackets and towels are available to resort guests.
Getting there: Complimentary parking and bus service make the water parks easy to reach.

What Makes Disney’s Water Parks Special?
Each park has its own theming and its own personality:
Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park
This tropical paradise is home to one of North America's largest wave pools, a lazy river, and slides like Crush 'n' Gusher and Miss Adventure Falls. With its sandy beaches and lush, shipwrecked-island theming, Typhoon Lagoon is all about laid-back family adventure.
Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park
Blizzard Beach mashes up the whimsy of a ski resort with warm-water fun. Race down Mount Gushmore's slides, float along the lazy river, or let the little ones splash around at Tike's Peak. It's a winter wonderland with a sunny twist.
Tips for Your Water Park Day
Pack smart: Sunscreen, water shoes, and a change of clothes are must-haves.
Use mobile ordering: Save time by pre-ordering your meals in the My Disney Experience app.
Stay safe: Complimentary life jackets are available for everyone, and diaper-age kiddos need to wear swim diapers.
Also..
there is a first aid hut in case you scuff up a toe.
Whether you're drifting down the lazy river, catching waves, or racing down a slide, a day at Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach will leave you refreshed and ready for more Disney magic. If you want help working a water park day into your trip, just reach out. I'd love to help you plan it.
