Caribbean Beach is a great pick for guests who want a tropical, laid-back feel without leaving Disney World. It is a Moderate Resort with fun island theming, roomy accommodations for families, and one of the best perks on property: direct access to the Disney Skyliner. If you love the idea of sandy beaches, palm trees, and a relaxing place to land after a park day, this one is worth a look.

Theming & Atmosphere

Caribbean Beach has a relaxed, island vacation feel. The resort is made up of several colorful villages inspired by the Caribbean islands, including Aruba, Barbados, Jamaica, Martinique, and Trinidad. It all wraps around Barefoot Bay, a pretty lake that adds to the tropical vibe. Between the bright buildings, the hammocks on the sand, and the steel drum music, it is an easy place to slow down and feel like you are on vacation.

Room Options & Accommodations

There are three main room types to choose from.

Standard Location: Two queen beds, or two queen beds plus a child-size pull-down bed, with views of the resort, courtyard, lake, pool, or woodlands.
Preferred Location: Same bed and view options, but located close to Centertown for easy access to dining, shopping, and transportation. Sleeps up to 4 adults.
King Bed: One king bed, with views of the lake, pool, resort, courtyard, or woodlands. Sleeps up to 2 adults, so it is a nice fit for couples or solo travelers.

Good to know: Caribbean Beach also has Little Mermaid rooms in the Trinidad section. They have fun under-the-sea theming with artwork and details inspired by The Little Mermaid, and they sleep 5. You can request one, but it is not guaranteed. Just know that Trinidad is one of the farther sections from the lobby and transportation, so there is more walking involved.

Caribbean Beach has a nice mix of quick-service, table-service, and lounge options.

Centertown Market (Quick-Service)

A food-court-style spot with Caribbean and American dishes like Mickey waffles, burgers, and jerk chicken bowls.

One of my favorites here. It serves Latin- and Caribbean-inspired food in a relaxed waterfront setting, with dishes like coconut shrimp, jerk chicken, and those fan-favorite buttery house-baked pull-apart rolls.

There is plenty to do for all ages:

Fuentes del Morro Pool: The pirate-themed main pool, with waterfalls, waterslides, and a kids' splash area.
Quiet Pools: Smaller, more relaxing pools in each village.
Goombay Games Arcade: A mix of classic and newer video games.
Movies Under the Stars: On Caribbean Cay Island at 8:30 PM, Sunday through Friday.
Bike Rentals: Ride the resort's scenic pathways.
Campfire Activities: Near the main beach by Martinique, 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM nightly.
Fishing: Guided catch-and-release fishing leaving from Caribbean Cay Island.
Volleyball: A sand court at Martinique Village.
Jogging Trail: A 0.6-mile course with views of Barefoot Bay.
Playground: Several play areas, including an interactive water play spot the little ones love.

Transportation & Park Access

One of Caribbean Beach's biggest draws is the Disney Skyliner, which is a scenic and quick way to get to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios.

Skyliner Access: Located near the Jamaica section, with a main hub that connects to other resorts and parks.
Disney Bus Service: To Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Disney Springs, and the water parks.
Driving: On-site parking is available for resort guests.

My tip: The Skyliner is a fantastic way to skip long bus waits, but it does pause during storms and high winds. If the weather turns, be ready to use the buses instead.

Caribbean Beach sits right between EPCOT and Hollywood Studios, so it is a great choice if those are your priority parks. The Skyliner also connects to Disney's Riviera Resort, which has some wonderful dining, including Topolino's Terrace, a highly rated character breakfast.

Cost & Value

For a Moderate Resort, Caribbean Beach lands right in the middle price-wise. Rooms usually run from $275 to $450 per night depending on the season and any current promotions. I always check for deals when I put your quote together.
