Capture Your Moment: A Disney Photo Experience Worth Booking
If you’ve ever wanted more than just quick PhotoPass snapshots on your Disney vacation, Capture Your Moment is a private photo session ($99 per session) that gives you dedicated time with a Disney photographer. You can book a 20-minute session in any of the four parks, choose from a few special photo locations, and come away with amazing pictures to remember your trip. It’s great for celebrations, family photos, or simply capturing a little extra Disney magic.
Our Travel Grown team recently booked a Capture Your Moment session at Magic Kingdom, and it ended up being one of the most fun things we did all day.
You’re paired with two photographers during your session. One focuses on taking your photos, and the other helps keep things flowing so a line doesn’t form behind you. (Other guests will definitely stop and wonder why you’re getting all the special treatment.)
At the start, our photographers asked if we had any photo spots in mind. We could go anywhere in Magic Kingdom, but they also had great suggestions. One of our favorites was a quiet, tucked-away spot near the Swiss Family Treehouse.
And because Emily K can’t resist a funny idea, we decided to take “awkward family photos.” Let’s just say the group attempt to lift her over our heads did not go according to plan, but the photos are hilarious.
Why You Might Want to Book a Capture Your Moment Session
If you have a special occasion coming up, this is such a great way to remember it. You’ll have dedicated time with a professional Disney photographer who helps you find great light and creative angles.
It’s great for celebrating:
Engagements
Honeymoons
Anniversaries
Births or adoptions
Birthdays
First Disney visits
Family reunions
Graduations
Or just because you want nice family photos at Disney
Our clients Nick & Ashley booked a Capture Your Moment session for their Magic Kingdom engagement in February 2025, and their photos turned out absolutely beautiful.
Each 20-minute photo session costs $99, and you can book multiple sessions back-to-back for more time. The maximum party size is 8 guests per session.
What to Expect
You’ll check in 10 minutes before your session, and your photographer will walk you to the photo location. The shoot lasts about 20 minutes, which is plenty of time for a variety of shots.
Here’s where to check in:
Magic Kingdom: Liberty Square Ticket Office (next to The Hall of Presidents)
Animal Kingdom: Island Mercantile
Hollywood Studios: First Order Cargo in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge
EPCOT: Kidcot Fun Stop next to Art of Disney in the American Adventure Pavilion
How Photos Work
The photo session cost does not include downloads, but if you have Memory Maker or an Annual Pass with PhotoPass Downloads, you can download them at no extra cost.
If you don’t have one of those, you can still purchase photos individually through your My Disney Experience app after your visit.
A Few Helpful Tips
Arrive early. The sessions run back-to-back, so they can’t extend your time if you’re late.
Ask about location options. Each park has a few designated areas, and photographers know the best spots for the time of day and lighting.
Have fun with props. Photographers often have props available for celebrations, or you can bring your own (as long as they follow Disney’s rules).
Know what’s not included. Characters don’t participate in these sessions, and you may want to bring your own ideas or poses to make the most of your time.
Why We Recommend It
Capture Your Moment is an easy, stress-free way to get beautiful photos without spending hours in line for the perfect castle shot. Whether you’re celebrating something special or just want memories of your trip that go beyond selfies, it’s worth every penny.
