A Visit to GEO-82 Lounge at EPCOT

Just opened in 2025, GEO-82 is EPCOT’s new adults-only lounge tucked inside the park’s most iconic landmark, Spaceship Earth. It is a sophisticated hideaway where global flavors meet classic cocktails and small plates, and every detail feels carefully designed.

The name pays tribute to the year Spaceship Earth first opened in 1982, and the entire experience carries that nostalgic EPCOT feel. Inside, it feels like stepping into EPCOT after dark, where every corner has a story to tell.

The menu reflects that same mix of classic and creative. Guests can enjoy drinks such as the Brown Butter Old Fashioned made with brown butter infused bourbon or the Clarified New York Sour. For those choosing zero-proof options, mocktails like the Manhattan in the Morning or A Walk in the Garden are beautifully made and full of flavor.

Food offerings focus on small plates with global influences, including Truffled Ahi Tuna and the Jumbo Lump Crab Gâteau. GEO-82 is open only to guests 21 and older, and reservations are required since space is limited.

My Experience at GEO-82

I ordered the mocktail A Walk in the Garden. It was smooth, light, and very refreshing. My friend had a Manhattan. While it is not one of the featured drinks, the bar is fully stocked and can make just about anything.

A couple sitting next to us tried the Caramelized Leek and Onion Martini and the Electron, which includes carrots. They enjoyed both. The Electron was bright orange and looked beautiful. I wish I had taken a photo of it to show you!

For food, I ordered the crab cake without caviar. It was a good portion and something I would order again. We both tried the charcuterie board, which I would call the best on Disney property. I have had many, and this one stands out.

The board includes blue cheese, although it is not listed on the menu. Neither of us eat blue cheese, but the team was happy to replace it with extras of the other cheeses. Our bartender mentioned that the pickles on the board are a family recipe from the head chef, created in honor of his grandmother.

The atmosphere inside GEO-82 is incredible. Every element feels intentional and captures the feeling of what the inside of Spaceship Earth should be. There is even a hidden Mickey in the chandeliers near the entrance. During the current refurbishment of Spaceship Earth, the entrance has been moved, but the space is still stunning. The design team clearly wanted to bring luxury and storytelling together.

The only downside is that the lounge is small and can get loud if a large group is nearby. Even so, it is one of the most relaxing places to unwind for a couple of hours.

I will be recommending GEO-82 to my clients who want an adults-only escape inside EPCOT. Our reservation was at 6:25 p.m., and although they were running behind, we were able to sit and wait comfortably. As the sun set, the lighting shifted both inside and outside. The view from inside GEO-82 was beautiful, and I can see why they offer a fireworks reservation. It was the perfect way to end the evening.

Maggie was introduced to Disney by her grandmother and she grew up on the magic.

Now as an adult, Disney is easily her favorite vacation place. She loves solo travel and exploring new (and old) places on her own. She also loves to share it with those she loves.

Plan your next trip with Maggie.
